Troubleshooting
When Khmer Keyboard doesn't appear, or doesn't suggest.
It isn't in the input menu
macOS only finishes enabling a newly installed input method after a log out — the app can register it, but the OS holds it back until then.
The faster fix is to add it by hand: System Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources → + → Khmer → Khmer Keyboard. That takes effect immediately, with no log out.
No suggestions appear
Check the engine under Suggestions in the app:
- If it's Ollama, make sure Ollama is installed and running, and that a model is selected under Models.
- If it's a CLI, remember it fills the dictionary in the background rather than answering live — early on there may be little to suggest.
My CLI isn't detected
Detection looks in the usual install locations, including ~/.local/bin. If your tool
lives somewhere else, pick Custom under Suggestions and point it at the command
directly.
The overlay looks wrong in dark mode
The overlay follows the app's own theme. Set light or dark under the theme control; System keeps it following macOS.
Still stuck
Note what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead, and send it with your app version from the sidebar.
