What changed in each Khmer Keyboard 0 release, newest first.
Releases of Khmer Keyboard 0, the experimental build — newest first. It has its own version numbers, so they do not line up with Khmer Keyboard.
1.0.13
- The suggestion overlay follows the app's theme. Set light or dark in Settings and the overlay matches; "system" keeps following macOS. Dark mode now uses the app's true near-black surface instead of a lighter gray.
- Always five suggestions. With a CLI engine, the overlay used to sit at three while waiting on the AI — the dictionary now fills all five instantly and AI results slide in as they arrive.
- The suggestion source descriptions no longer name a specific model, since the engine is yours to choose.

- Its own input source. Khmer Keyboard 0 now installs a separate "Khmer Keyboard 0" input method with its own settings, layout and dictionary — so trying it cannot disturb the keyboard you type with every day. It no longer shares state with Khmer Keyboard.
- The install button works in a downloaded build, and no longer claims success when macOS has not actually enabled the source yet.
- A menu bar item, matching the main app's.
- Khmer on the keyboard layout renders in Kantumruy again instead of the system font.
- Opening the Suggestions tab no longer freezes for a few seconds.

First release of Khmer Keyboard 0 — the same app, built without bundling a whole browser. About 40× smaller to download.
- It reads the same settings, layout and dictionary as Khmer Keyboard, so you can run either one and switch between them freely.
- It updates itself. New versions download in the background and install when you choose to restart.
- Everything the main app does is here: the layout editor, the on-device dictionary, Ollama models, and the suggestion engines.
It is still an experiment. If you just want to type Khmer, use Khmer Keyboard.
